Job Summary: 700 2nd Press Operator
The Press Operator is responsible for producing all offset press projects in compliance with job specifications and in accordance with company quality standards and procedures. Coordinate workload schedule to meet customer time frame requirements while achieving optimum productivity. Perform daily/weekly/monthly maintenance on equipment to ensure optimum output. Work closely with other team members to exceed customer expectations.

Responsibilities and Duties:
General and Administrative
· Coordinate with Production Team to produce and prioritize jobs and, when necessary, reorganize to meet deadline changes and updates
· Comply with all OSHA safety requirements
· Participate as a key player in the Production Team by supporting as needed
· Communicate effectively with the General Manager/Owner, the Production Manager, the Sales team, and the Production team, informing and updating regularly to guarantee that sales objectives and customer objectives are met
· Follow systems and procedures outlined in the company manuals
Press Operations
· Operate offset press with and without T-heads to produce customized jobs
· Perform all press operator functions as noted on work order/job tickets
· Operate plate maker to produce photo direct and metal plates
· Mix inks when required and interface with the Customer Service Representative (CSR) and/or the Graphic Designer to receive color match approval prior to printing job
· Maintain knowledge of safety requirements of job and equipment; be familiar with Safety Data Sheets regarding chemicals used
· Assist with job packaging is required
Equipment and Supplies
· Clean and maintain equipment and work area following maintenance procedures and update maintenance logs
· Monitor and manage inventory of bindery supplies: order and stock as instructed by supervisor
· Inform supervisor of equipment problems
Required Qualifications
· Legal ability to work in the United States
Desired Qualifications:
· High school diploma/GED with experience or vocational/technical certification
· Vocational/technical degree in graphic arts
· Minimum of 5 years of running 40” sheet fed press experience
· Man Roland press experience preferred
· Strong interpersonal skills
· Good mathematical skills
· Able to apply written instructions to machine set-up and maintenance
· Reliable attendance, punctuality and attention to work station
Working Conditions:
· Standing for prolonged periods of time – up to 8 hours or more per day
· Frequent lifting of objects weighing 30 or more pounds
· Periodic overtime
· Work area may have fluorescent lighting and air conditioning
· Noise level is usually moderate to loud
· Exposure to ink and chemical fumes, and airborne particles such as paper dust and drying powder
· Fast-paced environment subject to numerous schedule and priority changes and short notice activity
